Club News - Andy Blackburn - 300 Caps! 26/01/2010

This Sunday Andy Blackburn made his 300th appearance for the Football Club. Andy joined Masons Arms FC at its inception in 1995 and has played throughout the intervening years as the club became Egerton FC and then joined with Bromley Cross FC in 2008,

Andy played for a remarkable 15 seasons for the Open Age team before moving to the Over 35's in 2008. During those years Andy proved himself to be one of the most valuable members of the team due to his skill, dedication and reliability.

Andy's dedication to the club can be highlighted in the fact he has only missed a handful of training sessions during his 16 seasons with the club and most, if not all, of those due to holiday or injury.

Andy has also proved his consistent level of performance by winning the Player of the Year award for the 2005/06 Season.

Not only has Andy been a tremendous asset to the club on the field but he has also provided fantastic support to the club through his regular attendance at social events and by filling various roles in the running of the club.

Andy's remarkable contribution can be summed with the following statistics:
300 appearances, 25 Man of the Match, 45 Goals and only 1 yellow card.

Well done Andy. I know all those who have played with you over the years will appreciate what a fantastic contribution you have made.
