The Lightening started their season in disappointing fashion against a good Bolton County side.We started poorly and were punished with 2 quick goals inside the first 6 minutes and then struggled to make any impact as the lightenings passing and positioning was still on holiday.There were some good moments in the game Luke made some good runs down the wing,Robbie had some great little touches and a couple of good efforts which produced the lightenings only goal.Freddy,Euan,James,Jake,Ryan and Harry made some good tackles and passes but were far from their best as the Lightenings goal was bombarded by Bolton County and could have been more if Lordy hadnt made 1 or 2 decent saves and in the end lost 6-1.This was the first game this new team had played together and i am sure there is a lot more to come from the Lightening.
