We fell behind to an early goal and did well to pull back to lead 2-1 at half time. The first goal was adjudged to have crossed the line by the Ref' after a goalmouth scramble with Chris getting the last Crusaders' touch. Paul scored the second, reacting the quickest in the box after Matthew's throw-in.
Paul scored again early in the second half but the inconsistency that has blighted the team recently set in and allowed the Warriors to draw level. Too many promising attacks led to nothing and there was indecision in the defence. Bill had an amazing game keeping the team in the game with a string of good saves and richly deserved the man-of-the-match award. Paul was always a threat going forward, did his defensive duties well too, and Joseph was his usual committed self in midfield.
Final score: Warriors 3-3 Crusaders.
