It didn't help that Tom was absent and Matthew was under the weather but that does not explain how we managed to concede 2 goals in 2 minutes early in the second half. We are still scratching our heads as to why a wall was needed for a free kick in our opponents half. This left 2 players unmarked in the box. The other goal was caused by our long-standing inability to clear the ball, only Bill's agility saved us from losing by more than 1 goal.
On a more positive note, Matthew took his goal really well and there was some nice passing by Sam and Paul.
All credit to the Pirates who deserved their first win of the season and well done Bill for being awarded Man-of-the-Match.
